Crystal Palace are starting to believe that they will be able to keep hold of one of their star players despite interest from Chelsea this summer.
Crystal Palace have already lost Michael Olise, who was also a target for Chelsea before his move to Bayern Munich.
The two London clubs, however, could still end up doing business before the transfer window closes.
Palace could sign Trevoh Chalobah to replace Marc Guehi, who has been the subject of bids from Newcastle United.

Chelsea have looked at Eberechi Eze
It has been a summer where Chelsea have prioritised strengthening their forward line, and Eberechi Eze is one name that they have seemingly looked at.
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea and their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have both had an eye on the attacker.
However, it now seems unlikely that the Blues will sign him during this transfer window. The club recently added Pedro Neto to their squad, while GiveMeSport’s report claims that Palace are optimistic that they will be able to keep hold of Eze after slapping a £68m price tag on him.
It is still possible that Chelsea do sign another attacker, though. Joao Felix is a player whom Chelsea are targeting right now.
Chelsea do not need Eberechi Eze
All things considered, there is no need for Chelsea to sign Felix or Eze. They are stacked when it comes to wingers and No.10s.
Neto, Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk can all play out wide. Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku are options for the attacking midfielder position, but both players can also operate on the flank.
Nevertheless, it looks like Chelsea are going to do all they can to sign Felix, though that may be because they want Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid to go through — both deals are connected. As for Eze, it would be a surprise if he ended up at Stamford Bridge.
