Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on one of Chelsea’s wonderkids will have an ‘immediate’ impact on Enzo Maresca.
The Blues have signed so many young players in recent windows that it has become increasingly difficult to keep track of them all.
The likes of Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia and Marc Guiu have all joined the West London club, while Estevao Willian, Kendry Paez and more are still to come.
Chelsea fans are now one step closer to seeing another exciting prospect at Stamford Bridge after Romano’s report.

Fabrizio Romano gives update on Aaron Anselmino’s Chelsea future
Romano took to X to share the news that £17 million summer signing Aaron Anselmino will team up will Chelsea’s first team very soon.
“Aaron Anselmino returns to Chelsea as he will join Enzo Maresca’s squad with immediate effect from Boca Juniors,” he wrote.
“Argentinian centre back travels to London at the end of this week, ready to join training at Cobham from next week. Decision confirmed.”
Despite signing for the Blues in August, Anselmino stayed with La Boca for the remainder of the 2024 Argentine Primera Division season, which ended on 14 December.
However, the 19-year-old was forced to miss the last five league games due to a hamstring injury.
Chelsea have now decided that it’s in the defender’s best interests to move to London in January rather than waiting until next summer.

Aaron Anselmino decision ‘immediately’ impacts Enzo Maresca
The extent of Anselmino’s hamstring injury has not been reported, and he will also need time to settle into his new surroundings regardless.
However, if everything goes to plan, the Argentinian could make his Chelsea debut as soon as 11 January when Morecambe travel to Stamford Bridge for an FA Cup third-round tie.
If not, he might have to wait until the fourth round of the competition or even the UEFA Conference League round of 16 in March.
Whatever the case may be, Maresca will definitely be pleased to have another central defender option in his squad.
Indeed, the injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana may have played a part in Chelsea’s decision to recall Anselmino.
