Chelsea are closing in on two more signings, with Boca Juniors’ Aaron Anselmino and Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen set to join the club.

Chelsea have already brought in Renato Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman and Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, and Aaron Anselmino and Filip Jorgensen will be the next two arrivals.

Chelsea checked Anselmino’s fitness yesterday, while Jorgensen’s health was also assessed.

With the Blues already having plenty of options in defence, the former will be expected to go out on loan.

The latter, however, should be coming in to compete with Robert Sanchez for the position between the sticks.

Aaron Anselmino discusses imminent Chelsea move

Again, you would not expect Anselmino to be part of Chelsea’s first-team squad this season, so it could be a while before he makes his debut for the club.

Nevertheless, Anselmino is still excited about his move to Stamford Bridge, which will cost Chelsea £17m, according to the Evening Standard.

Speaking to ESPN about his impending transfer to the Blues, the 19-year-old said: “I’m very happy, everything happened very quickly.

“Since I was a little boy, I dreamed of this, things are going well and I hope they continue like this. Every footballer dreams of this opportunity, I’m very happy.”

Mike Penders could be Chelsea’s next young signing

Chelsea have already signed Veiga, Guiu and Kellyman, with the oldest of that trio being 21.

Nineteen-year-old Anselmino is now set to join them, but another youngster could also be about to move to the Blues.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are considering signing Mike Penders from Genk, another teenager.

The likes of Penders and Anselmino are not going to help Chelsea out now, though, and it is the present that fans will be concerning themselves about.

The Blues are once again without Champions League football after finishing outside of the top four last season. To get back there, some will feel that Enzo Maresca‘s squad needs more experience and immediately.

Neither Penders nor Anselmino can offer that, but looking at the future, which is all Chelsea seem to do these days, perhaps they could prove to be really good signings for the club.
