Estevao Willian’s arrival at Chelsea from Palmeiras was officially announced on Tuesday.

Chelsea agreed a deal with Palmeiras to sign Estevao last year, but the winger was not 18 at the time so could not move to London.

However, Estevao is finally at Chelsea, signing a long-term contract at the club. Despite being so young, the Brazilian has caught the attention of a lot of teams.

It has even been claimed that some outfits have enquired about taking him on loan for the new season.

Estevao Willian staying at Chelsea despite loan enquiries

Estevao is yet to play in the Premier League or Europe at all, so a loan could benefit the 18-year-old.

Chelsea, though, have no intention of sending Estevao to another club for the 2025/26 season.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have received loan enquiries over Estevao, but insiders at the club have confirmed that the plan is for him to remain part of Enzo Maresca‘s first-team squad.

It means that the Brazil international is likely to compete with Pedro Neto for the spot on the right flank in the new campaign.

On the other side, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho could be Chelsea’s two main options. The Club World Cup winners signed Gittens from Borussia Dortmund last month and now want to bring Garnacho to Stamford Bridge.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Chelsea and Garnacho’s entourage had held talks over a potential transfer.

Shaun Wright-Phillips’ advice for Estevao Willian

Former Chelsea player Shaun Wright-Phillips knows what it takes to be a successful winger in the Premier League and has some words of advice for Estevao.

When Wright-Phillips recently spoke about Estevao, he said: “Don’t change the way you play would be the advice I would give Estevao. For a winger, it’s very important to be unpredictable and make the full-back work.”

The teenager has already shown what he can do against top opposition, scoring against his new side at the Club World Cup.

Chelsea fans will be hoping that he can now hurt their rivals once the 2025/26 season kicks off. The Blues begin their campaign with the visit of Crystal Palace.
