Last year, Chelsea opted against signing another striker for their first team, putting all of their trust in Nicolas Jackson.
This season, Nicolas Jackson has repaid the faith shown in him. He has been one of Chelsea‘s top performers, scoring nine goals in 18 Premier League appearances.
Nevertheless, plenty of centre-forwards have still been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since the start of the campaign.
Who does that include and how much could they cost this year? The Chelsea Chronicle takes a look.

Liam Delap
Club: Ipswich Town
Age: 21
Rumoured price tag: £33m
Liam Delap is probably the striker who has been linked to Chelsea the most recently. He came up against the Blues earlier this week and really punished them, scoring in Ipswich Town’s 2-0 win.
While it had been claimed last year that Delap’s asking price could be around £33m, that figure has probably gone up since then. Delap has been hailed as a “fantastic player” by Enzo Maresca.
Evan Ferguson
Club: Brighton & Hove Albion
Age: 20
Rumoured price tag: £60m–£100m
Evan Ferguson has not really kicked on since breaking through at Brighton & Hove Albion, so it is surprising to hear that the Seagulls still value him anywhere from £60m–£100m based on reports. He has scored just one goal in the Premier League this season.
Randal Kolo Muani
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Age: 26
Rumoured price tag: £50m
It has been reported that Chelsea have no plans to sign Randal Kolo Muani this month, but the Frenchman is another name that keeps popping up. Reports in France have claimed that Kolo Muani could cost around £50m.
Alexander Isak
Club: Newcastle United
Age: 25
Rumoured price tag: £150m
If Chelsea fans could choose which striker the club signs, then a lot would probably pick Isak. He has really proven himself in the Premier League.
The only problem is Newcastle United’s huge valuation of the player. Chelsea are not going to pay it.
Victor Osimhen
Club: Galatasaray (on loan from Napoli)
Age: 26
Rumoured price tag: £62m
Victor Osimhen is a name that Chelsea fans are very familiar with. The club spent the end of the last transfer window trying to sign him.
They failed but interest is still thought to be there, though things have quietened down lately.

Viktor Gyokeres
Club: Sporting Lisbon
Age: 26
Rumoured price tag: £58m
Viktor Gyokeres looked like he would become an alternative to Osimhen for Chelsea, but the club no longer seem intent on signing a big-name centre-forward as they continue to put their trust in Jackson.
Gyokeres has a €100m (£82.9m) release clause in his contract, but it is believed that Sporting Lisbon are willing to negotiate a cheaper deal but only in the summer.
Jhon Duran
Club: Aston Villa
Age: 21
Rumoured price tag: £75m
Like Osimhen, Jhon Duran is also a player whom Chelsea wanted to sign in the last transfer window.
In fact, Chelsea reportedly tried to sign Duran on deadline day. Aston Villa will be glad that they failed, as he has been able to make a real impact for them. The Colombian has scored three goals in the Champions League this season, including against Bayern Munich.
Benjamin Sesko
Club: RB Lepzig
Age: 21
Rumoured price tag: £50m
Another young striker who is thought to have fans at Chelsea. Benjamin Sesko only put pen to paper on a new contract at RB Leipzig last June, ending the Blues’ hopes of signing him at the time.
However, it has been alleged that Leipzig could be willing to sell Sesko for £50m at the end of the season, which may alert Chelsea.
