It looks like Chelsea will definitely not be signing one forward in this transfer window.
Chelsea have been linked with former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino, with journalist Dean Jones claiming that the Al-Ahli attacker is on the Blues’ radar.
However, Fabrizio Romano has now reported on Substack that Firmino will not be going anywhere this month.
“The message I’m getting from the player’s camp too, I can confirm, is that Roberto Firmino will not leave Al-Ahli or Saudi in January,” the transfer expert said.
Another forward who Chelsea are looking at is Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran. According to The Telegraph’s Matt Law, the club are yet to deny that they are interested in him.

Roberto Firmino not joining Chelsea
While Chelsea may have Firmino on their radar, it appears that the Brazilian will not be moving to Stamford Bridge.
It is a shame, as Firmino could have been a good short-term signing for the club. He obviously has a lot of Premier League experience from his time at Liverpool and is a really good footballer.
“Your football brain is incredible”, his former manager Jurgen Klopp said (Daily Mirror) during his farewell speech for the player.
Chelsea look in need of a new forward and options such as Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are not on the market right now, with the Nigerian recently signing a new contract.
Nicolas Jackson is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, Christopher Nkunku has had a couple of injury problems this season and there are doubts surrounding the future of Armando Broja. The 22-year-old is being linked to several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa.
It now seems unlikely, however, that Firmino will be the solution to Mauricio Pochettino‘s forward issue. But Chelsea still have a bit of time to consider other strikers and bring one in.
