Five transfers Chelsea could complete on deadline day, from Tyrique George to another new striker

No football fan will be surprised to read that Chelsea have been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window.

However, the Blues’ days of breaking the bank with expensive signings appear to be behind them, as their net transfer spend is actually minimal.

Chelsea have sold almost £300 million worth of talent this summer to balance the books and thus meet the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).

But with less than 24 hours until the deadline slams shut, Enzo Maresca could still see multiple players join or leave his first-team squad.

The Chelsea Chronicle now looks at some potential incoming and outgoing transfers before the window closes on Monday evening.

Tyrique George nears Roma move

Despite playing over 80 minutes for Chelsea against Fulham on Saturday, Tyrique George is expected to leave the club on transfer deadline day.

Serie A club Roma are currently the leading contender to sign George, who is also wanted by the Blues’ West London rivals.

Fermin Lopez to Chelsea hangs in the balance

Chelsea planned to sign Barcelona star Fermin Lopez to offer competition to Cole Palmer in the attacking midfield position before Liam Delap’s injury.

However, with Nicolas Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich falling through, it’s unclear whether the Blues have the funds to complete the deal.

Conrad Harder signing depends on Nicolas Jackson future

Another incoming transfer that depends on Nicolas Jackson’s future is Sporting striker Conrad Harder’s potential move to West London.

Harder recently emerged as the Blues’ top target if Jackson departs in a lucrative deadline day deal to Bayern or elsewhere.

Ben Chilwell could finalise permanent Chelsea departure

Head coach Enzo Maresca informed Ben Chilwell last summer that he would not be part of his plans at Stamford Bridge, but he remains at the club.

Crystal Palace have not shown any interest in signing Chilwell after his loan spell with the club last season, with Strasbourg and Toulouse among his options on deadline day.

Axel Disasi to make another Premier League switch

Axel Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and he could be about to join another Premier League club on a temporary deal.

Bournemouth expressed their interest in Disasi earlier in the window, but Kaveh Solhekol has reported that Crystal Palace are considering him as a replacement for Marc Guehi.
