Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho seems to have at least one admirer at Chelsea.
Chelsea are thought to be interested in Jadon Sancho as they consider making more signings for their attack ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
The Blues have already signed Joao Felix and Pedro Neto, but that has not stopped them from taking a look at Sancho.
Chelsea would want Sancho to take a pay cut and if he agrees to that, a move looks possible, with the 24-year-old unlikely to be a key player for Erik ten Hag this season. He has already missed United’s first two Premier League games.

Joe Shields a ‘keen admirer’ of Jadon Sancho
One man who is unlikely to say no to Chelsea signing Sancho before the transfer window closes is Joe Shields.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea’s co-director of recruitment and talent is a “keen admirer” of Sancho and has a lot of belief in him.
Discussing the United star on Substack, Phillips said: “Chelsea don’t dislike Sancho and in fact, he has a very keen admirer on our board in Joe Shields, who does still have a lot of belief in him as per SPTC sources.
“So Shields would likely back this move if it does happen. And let’s be honest, Sancho certainly has a lot of potential.”
Some Chelsea fans want Sancho to replace Mykhailo Mudryk, so this potential transfer could also make them happy.
Chelsea should consider signing Federico Chiesa instead of Jadon Sancho
Looking at Chelsea’s squad, the Blues do not need another winger. Enzo Maresca has Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix, who can all play out wide.
Signing another wide man is just not necessary. However, if Chelsea, for whatever reason, feel that they do require one, then it may make more sense for them to sign Juventus’ Federico Chiesa instead.
Chiesa is likely to be cheaper than Sancho, with it being claimed that Juventus only want around €15m (£12.6m) for the attacker.
If the Blues cannot do a swap deal for the England international or get him on loan, then they are probably going to have to spend quite a bit of money to land his signature.
BBC Sport reported earlier this summer that United value Sancho at £40m, a fee Chelsea do not need to pay when you look at their current attacking options.
