The Chelsea Chronicle has been exclusively told that intermediaries are exploring other options for one Chelsea star ahead of a potential exit this summer.

There are several players at Stamford Bridge who are not wanted, including the likes of Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling.

Both men spent time away from west London last season, with Felix now eyeing a return to Benfica.

However, Chelsea could also sell members of their first-team squad before the transfer window closes in September.

Intermediaries gauging interest in Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson is one player in Enzo Maresca‘s squad who could depart Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

While Maresca is still a fan of Jackson, The Chelsea Chronicle‘s transfer expert Graeme Bailey has exclusively revealed that intermediaries are trying to gauge the amount of interest in the striker right now.

On Jackson’s current situation, Bailey explained: “It’s not that Maresca or Chelsea don’t rate Jackson. They do. But do they see him leading the line? I’m not sure they do, and I think Jackson’s aware of that. He knows that and he could end up being third choice and it’s no secret that intermediaries and people connected with him are doing their work on other clubs, gauging what interest is out there.

“He’s not going to agitate for it, but they’ll bring to him and they’ll gauge what interest is there and Chelsea as well because he’s not transfer-listed or anything like that. But Chelsea will be open to him leaving now.”

Jackson was a key player for Maresca last season, making 30 appearances in the Premier League. However, his future in west London has come into serious doubt because of Chelsea’s decision to sign both Pedro and Delap.

The Senegal international already looks to have lost his starting spot to Pedro after the Brazilian’s impact at the Club World Cup.

Pedro linked up extremely well with Cole Palmer in the final, latching onto his pass before scoring Chelsea’s third goal against Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United one possible destination for Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea’s rivals Manchester United could offer Jackson a chance to remain in the Premier League if he does decide to leave the Club World Cup winners.

It is thought that the Red Devils are monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge. The former Villarreal man has also been linked to Aston Villa.

According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, any Villa move for Jackson could see Chelsea make a bid for Morgan Rogers.

All in all, Jackson is certainly a name to keep an eye on while the transfer market remains open.
