Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed on Twitter that Chelsea could be set to announce the signing of Andrey Santos today.
The Blues have already confirmed the signing of David Datro Fofana from Molde, as they look to address their striker concerns.
After Armando Broja was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, a signing in the forward position was essential going into the second half of the season.

However, it is currently unclear whether the intention is to include the striker in their plans straight away, or if he is an addition made with an eye to the future.
Another who is likely to be more for the future is Santos, who has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old has been plying his trade at Vasco de Gama, where has received plaudits for his ability despite his age.
Chelsea could announce Santos today
He has proven he certainly has the ability to contribute goals. He has eight in his 34 games in Serie B from midfield.
It had been claimed after Christmas that the Blues were extremely close to securing a deal to sign the teenager.
Now, Jacobs has claimed that the transfer could be announced as early as today. He said: “It’s done! Could even be announced today.”

January is set to be an extremely busy month for the Blues, with them still very keen on completing a club-record deal for Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
The Blues are reportedly extremely close to securing the transfer for the 21-year-old midfielder, with them keen to beat any elite sides to a deal for him by making the signing in January.
It’s been claimed that the deal is in its final stages, with just a few details left to sort before they can call him a Chelsea player.
