Reports have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino is now expecting Chelsea to have a busy end to the summer transfer window.

According to The Mail’s Transfer Confidential Newsletter, the manager is waiting for the club to bring in four more players before the end of the month.

Pochettino gets his Chelsea career in charge underway in just six days’ time, when they welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge for what is sure to be the biggest game of the opening weekend.

He has seen a handful of new players come through the door, with Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku already making an impact during an unbeaten pre-season.

However, he is notably hoping that is not the end of their business. He has reportedly been pushing behind the scenes for a deal to bring in Moises Caicedo.

Negotiations have seemingly hit a brick wall with Brighton recently, although the player is now seemingly upping the pressure as he tries to get his dream move.

This is certainly not the only addition the manager is hoping they make before September comes around. There is a hope that they also add to their midfield with Tyler Adams.

The USA international has a very achievable release clause after relegation with Leeds, and he is reportedly close to leaving Elland Road this summer.

It has been claimed that these are two separate deals, and it is not a case that it is either Caicedo or Adams.

There is also the attempts to bring in Dusan Vlahovic, who will come to the club in exchange for Romelu Lukaku if a deal can be done.

Finally, the boss is expecting the transfer of Michael Olise to be completed, after it appears likely they are going to miss out on the signing of Mohammed Kudus.
