Newcastle are keen to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea this summer – but the Magpies are very far away from the Blues in terms of valuation.
That is according to the Daily Mail.
So, what is Chelsea‘s stance on Conor Gallagher amid Newcastle‘s interest? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that Newcastle value the England international at £25m.
However, Chelsea – while open to selling Gallagher – believe their No.23 is worth £50m.
Clearly, there is a huge gap to bridge before Newcastle can begin talks with the 23-year-old.
The Daily Mail believe Eddie Howe has other midfielders ahead of Gallagher on his shortlist – such as Moises Caicedo, who is wanted by Chelsea – Tyler Adams, Xavi Simons and Khephren Thuram.

Therefore, Newcastle will not stretch themselves to meet Chelsea’s asking price, although the Magpies will keep an eye on the Londoner as they feel he has plenty of room for improvement under Howe.
Gallagher endured a difficult 2022/23 campaign at Chelsea after winning Crystal Palace’s 2021/22 Player of the Season award, scoring just three goals in 35 Premier League appearances.
Gallagher may have a future at Chelsea
In our view, nobody is going to pay Gallagher’s £50m asking price, and judging by noises coming from Stamford Bridge, the energetic midfielder may have a future at Chelsea.
A story from The Sun claims that Mauricio Pochettino became a huge fan of Gallagher during his incredible loan spell at Crystal Palace, and was even thinking about signing him for PSG.
Additionally – according to the Mirror – the man born in Epsom wants to stay and fight for his place under the Argentine, as he believes he can shine with the South American.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Gallagher is not short of options if Chelsea do force him out.
