The proposed deal for a Chelsea youngster to join an overseas club has now reportedly been called off.
There’s less than 48 hours left of the summer transfer window, so it’s no surprise to see plenty of action around Chelsea as plenty of individuals look to move on and find first-team football.
Many players are linked with potential exits from Stamford Bridge. On top of that, The Guardian reports that Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca still wants to sign a striker and a defender.

Harvey Vale transfer move is off
Chelsea youngster Harvey Vale, 20, has been linked with a potential transfer exit in this window. It sounds like the deal is now off, though.
First of all, journalist Sami Mokbel claimed via X on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia club Al-Ettifaq opened talks with Chelsea about signing Vale. Steven Gerrard, the Al-Ettifaq manager, was a real driving force in the transfer pursuit and a deal was close.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs has reported via X on Thursday afternoon that Vale’s transfer to Saudi Arabia is now off the table because personal terms couldn’t be agreed.
Also, The Athletic has added that Chelsea agreed a transfer with the Saudi Pro League team before Vale decided he didn’t want the move.
What’s next for Harvey Vale?
If Chelsea plan to offload Vale during this summer window, they’re desperately running out of time to get a deal done.
The versatile youngster, who excelled last season during a loan at Bristol Rovers, definitely has big talent. Speaking via Bristol Rovers’ YouTube channel last year, Joey Barton described Vale as “phenomenal” when discussing his attitude.
We’re sure clubs would love to snap him up on a last-minute loan deal if he was put on the market in that capacity.
He’s a quality left-footed player that can operate as a full-back, winger or attacking midfielder. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with him from now until Friday’s deadline.
