Chelsea could do plenty more business with other Premier League clubs between now and the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea recently sold Noni Madueke to Arsenal, while they also signed Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion.

There is now a possibility of Nicolas Jackson joining Manchester United, but he is not the only Blues star who could move to another English club before the market shuts.

Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge has come into serious doubt after the striker lost his first-team spot at the Club World Cup.

Burnley make Ben Chilwell enquiry

While there is a chance that Jackson remains at Chelsea, one player who is almost certain to leave the club this summer is Ben Chilwell.

The defender is still out of Enzo Maresca‘s plans and is reportedly attracting interest from Burnley.

In fact, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on his Substack Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the newly-promoted side have already “enquired” about signing him.

The Club World Cup winners are set to sell Renato Veiga as well, so Maresca may want his bosses to bring in a new left-back ahead of the start of the new season.

There is an expectation that Veiga will join Atletico Madrid. The Portuguese only signed for Chelsea last summer but has failed to break into his manager’s starting XI.

What Pep Guardiola once said about Ben Chilwell

There was once a time when Chilwell was one of the most highly-rated left-backs in England.

Back in 2019, Chilwell shared with the Daily Mail that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had told him that he was a “really talented player”.

“He told me that he thought I was a really talented player and that he wanted me to keep playing well, getting up and down the pitch,” Chilwell said.

The England international was being linked with a move to City at the time, but he eventually joined Chelsea and started off his career there well.

During his first season at the club, Chilwell was able to help the Blues win the Champions League as the team’s first-choice left-back. Fast forward to the present, and the 28-year-old is now surplus to requirements.
