Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling has been a popular topic in the media recently, and now he’s attracting interest from a rival club in the Premier League.
It certainly looks like Raheem Sterling, 29, no longer has a future at Chelsea. Will he be able to secure a transfer move during what’s left of the summer window, though?
Sterling is training away from Chelsea’s first-team squad, with Blues head coach Enzo Maresca not including him in his plans moving forward.
Journalist Kaveh Solhekol recently explained via X that Sterling’s preference is to stay in the Premier League. Apparently, the English winger knows he’s got no future at Stamford Bridge, so he’s now looking for a new challenge.

Crystal Palace interested in Raheem Sterling
According to The Evening Standard, Crystal Palace are one of several teams to express an interest in exploring a deal for Chelsea’s Sterling.
It is explained that the Premier League and London club have signalled their interest after being alerted to his availability.
The report says that the experienced forward is seeking a transfer in the final week of the summer window, so Chelsea are collecting all the interest before presenting the options to the player.
It is understood that Premier League clubs are unlikely to be able to afford Sterling’s £300,000-a-week deal, which still has three years left on it. Therefore, Chelsea would need to subsidise some of his wages or he’d have to take a big pay cut.
Raheem Sterling decline
Unfortunately, Sterling’s decline has been coming in recent years. Chelsea boss Maresca is well within his rights to decide he’s not good enough for him and that he wants to go in a different direction.
Hopefully, all parties can reach an agreement in the next week to find the left-winger a suitable transfer move. If not, you sense things could get a bit messy.
Sterling’s been playing at the top level for over a decade with spells at Liverpool, Manchester City and now Chelsea. His form has started to dip during his two years in West London, though.
