Crystal Palace are now reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea talent Callum Hudson-Odoi.

According to 90min, Premier League and London rivals Palace are showing interest in the £120,000-a-week Blues player.

It is understood the winger’s ready to push for a move away from Stamford Bridge in search of regular first-team minutes, something which hasn’t always been the case in West London.

The report adds there’s rival interest in his signature from Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Leicester City, Southampton and Everton.

It’s previously been claimed German side Dortmund are in talks over a potential loan deal for Hudson-Odoi. Also, Southampton have reportedly asked Chelsea to take the 21-year-old on loan.

Palace interested in Hudson-Odoi

It’ll be interesting to see if Palace boss Patrick Vieira can play a role in convincing Hudson-Odoi to complete a move to Selhurst Park.

The Eagles were successful last season in the Premier League with a strong core of young players in their XI, which included Conor Gallagher.

Palace and their manager were integral in the development of 22-year-old Gallagher, who’s been promoted to the Chelsea first team this season after a brilliant loan last year. Could they provide a similar platform for Hudson-Odoi next?

Blues pecking order

Hudson-Odoi was reportedly shocked to be omitted from Chelsea’s match day squad during Saturday’s 1-0 win against Everton, which just highlights where he is in Tuchel’s thoughts right now.

He’s definitely got the talent to really fight in this new campaign for a spot in the Blues line-up, something that would be great to see.

It seems like that’s becoming increasingly more difficult, though.

The chance to play in his best position as a conventional winger in the 2022/23 season is something that should appeal to Hudson-Odoi.
