Chelsea could reportedly include their youngster Billy Gilmour as part of a swap deal for Everton’s £50million-rated star Anthony Gordon.

The Blues have been linked with a transfer swoop for Everton attacker Gordon this month. In fact, Thomas Tuchel’s side will reportedly bid for the third time to try get him.

According to 90min, Chelsea may try give away Gilmour to the Merseyside club as part of negotiations to sign Gordon.

The report explains Gilmour, 21, would have to move on a permanent basis because Everton already have two Premier League loanees in their squad.

With Gilmour reportedly keen on leaving Chelsea, it could make sense to try include the midfielder as leverage in ongoing transfer negotiations.

He’s a very talented central midfielder with a great future ahead of him, but his position of the pitch is very congested at Stamford Bridge. It’s easy to picture him improving Frank Lampard’s Everton side, though.

Chelsea seem intent on landing Everton’s highly rated youngster in this window,

Gordon, also 21, is an emerging talent that’s grown into a key figure for his side in a short space of time.

Described as “explosive” by Rafael Benitez, he’s a forward with lightning pace and eye-catching dribbling. However, the youngster’s game still needs massive work and improvement when it comes to end product.

If signed, Gordon definitely feels like he would be a bit of a punt.

There’s no doubt he’s highly thought of in the football community, and the England Under-21 international has shown signs of real magic in his game.

However, jumping to the Chelsea senior team would be throwing him in the deep end a little. Some players would crumble, but some would thrive.
