Reports have claimed that Liverpool are still in the race to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig.
According to Fussball Transfers, the Reds are not willing to give up on the hunt for the forward despite being seen as behind in the race.
News broke yesterday that Chelsea had actually conducted a medical with Nkunku during this summer, ahead of a potential transfer next year.

It comes after a transfer window where the Blues were firmly interested in signing the Frenchman.
Despite Todd Boehly’s best efforts, the 24-year-old signed a new contract at the club, although it involved a £52m release clause.
This is of course extremely achievable for the Blues, with them paying more for that for a number of transfers just this summer.
Liverpool still want Nkunku
However, according to Fussball Transfers, their efforts will still be matched by Liverpool, who are no doubt already planning a number of transfers to strengthen their squad for next season.
The start to this campaign has been far from great for Jurgen Klopp’s men, with them sitting on just nine points from their first six games of the campaign.
This leaves them a place and a point behind the Blues, who themselves will feel bitterly disappointed with their start to the campaign.

Chelsea should go all out from this point to secure the deal for Nkunku, with them seemingly doing the groundwork to make themselves favourites for the player who is surely attracting interest from a number of elite sides.
With the signing of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, it has been claimed the Blues were only looking for a stop-gap option, with them always keen on bringing Nkunku in when the opportunity next arose.
The impact he had in the Champions League against Manchester City and PSG last season should be enough evidence that he will be a brilliant player wherever he ends up.
