Saudi Arabia club Al Ahli have made first contact about signing Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy this summer.
That is according to Foot Mercato.
Edouard Mendy, who lost his starting position at Stamford Bridge, has been linked with a potential exit from the club in this summer transfer window.
Interestingly, The Evening Standard claimed last month that Mendy expects Chelsea to sell him.
Now, the 31-year-old goalkeeper is receiving some significant interest.

Foot Mercato claims that Al Ahil have now established first contact about the potential signing of Mendy.
It is understood that the Senegal international could be prepared to take on a new challenge, too.
This comes after recent claims from The Athletic that Aston Villa are eyeing Chelsea keeper Mendy as a possible target this summer.
More and more clubs from Saudi Arabia are now being linked with Blues players, so how many will we actually see jump ship and make the move to the Middle East?

Mendy was performing like the world’s best goalkeeper only a couple of years ago, but we’ve got no complaints if he’s moved on before the new season starts.
The £22million goalkeeper played just 12 games across all competitions last season, with Kepa Arrizabalaga stepping into the role as the Blues No 1.
His purple patch of form when he first joined has cemented his name in Chelsea history, playing a vital role in the side that won the Champions League.
We think it’s time for him to move on now, though.
