Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing David Datro Fofana from Chelsea this month.

According to Takvim, the Turkish club have prioritised adding Fofana to their ranks during the winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old was only officially announced as Chelsea player on the 7th of January, following his move from Molde.

Despite being part of the Cobham community for just over a week, there have already been suggestions the young forward could head out on loan in January.

Graham Potter’s front line is now extremely well stocked, thanks to the recent arrivals of Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Will David Datro Fofana be thrown away by Chelsea?

Fofana’s appearances are likely to be limited due to the hefty competition in attacking areas.

Therefore, it would not be surprising if the striker was sent out for the rest of the season to gain further senior experience.

Whilst they might not be the European powerhouse they once were, Galatasaray are still one of the most noticeable names on the continent.

After a few below-par campaigns, the Aslanlar have roared back into life and are currently top of the Super Lig.

Okan Buruk’s squad is full of experienced and talented players for Fofana to potentially learn from.

Former Serie A duo Mauro Icardi and Dries Mertens lead the attack, whilst Chelsea hero Juan Mata has started fresh following his exit from Manchester United.

Fans of the Premier League will remember Patrick van Aanholt, Lucas Torreira and Bafetimbi Gomis.

Not a bad bunch to be a part of.
