Manchester United are reportedly ready to match any bid for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, who’s currently a transfer target for Chelsea.

90min claimed earlier this week that Chelsea and Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign £100million-rated star Felix.

Football London say the 23-year-old forward is on the Blues radar, but it’s only “tentative interest” right now.

He’s just enjoyed a decent World Cup tournament representing Portugal, who were beaten quarter-finalists against Morocco.

Manchester United ready to match Joao Felix bid

According to the Evening Standard, Manchester United, along with Chelsea, are searching for a new striker in next month’s January transfer window.

The report says Manchester United will be prepared to match any offer that’s made for Felix.

Chelsea now know they’ve got a rival buyer willing to go toe to toe to sign the Atletico Madrid attacker, so it’ll be interesting to see who blinks first.

The Evening Standard adds that both Chelsea and Manchester United have good relationships with Felix’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

Described as “something special” by Antonio Rudiger, Felix has been well recognised across Europe in recent years as one of the very best youngsters.

The £155,000-a-week centre-forward, who can also play out wide, can be unplayable for defenders when he’s in the mood.

He’s got the kind of change of pace and dribbling that opponents hate. He now just needs to find a bit more consistency with his end product.
