Reports have claimed that a mystery Bundesliga side have registered an interest in signing Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher today.
According to The Guardian, they are one of a number of sides who will be looking to bring in the 22-year-old as the January transfer window enters its final stages today.
Yesterday saw the Chelsea man the subject of a £45m bid from Premier League struggling side Everton.

However, it emerged very quickly that he wouldn’t be interested in that move, and instead favoured a transfer to a side with European ambitions.
Newcastle United are certainly one of those this season, and have been closely linked to Gallagher for the majority of the window.

However, The Guardian have claimed they could be about to face competition from overseas, with an unnamed side from Germany keen on a deal.
The Blues may be hesitant on letting the England international leave if they are unable to secure a deal today for Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea returned with strong interest over the last two days, but will have been hoping for more of a sign that things were going in the right direction by now.
Benfica president Rui Costa is reportedly the man with the final say, and he has been tough to convince by the Blues so far.
However, with summer presenting more opportunities, the chance to cash in on Gallagher should certainly be taken in the summer if it’s not today.
