Reports have claimed that Todd Boehly really wants Chelsea to sign Neymar this summer.

According to ESPN, there is a real chance for the Brazilian to leave PSG at the end of the season as the French club look to enter a new era.

It was reported earlier this year that Boehly had met with chiefs at the Ligue 1 club over potentially bringing the winger to Stamford Bridge as part of a sensational deal.

Neymar has been widely recognised as one of the best players of his generation, frequently described as ‘world-class’.

The American has been frequently rumoured to be wanting to bring in a big name to mark his first months in charge of the Premier League side.

Boehly wants Neymar

This has been shown by his reported desire to bring in Cristiano Ronaldo before this season began, which was an attempt only stopped by Thomas Tuchel’s desire to not have him be part of the squad.

His attention has reportedly moved on to Neymar, and at least the reported expected new manager has some experience working with him.

Mauricio Pochettino is widely expected to be announced as the next Chelsea manager in the coming days, and will remember his time in Paris well as he looks to take his next step in the game.

He worked with Neymar there, and although he didn’t win the league every season, his time in charge did bring some of the best individual football of the Brazilian’s career.

There will be a number of attackers who will be hopeful that the Argentine can have a similar effect on their games, with Mykhailo Mudryk in particular a player who looks as if the right coaching will turn him into a sensational winger.
