Chelsea have already sold four players and are closing in on a fifth exit with Alejandro Garnacho edging towards Aston Villa. Axel Disasi could be the next player to depart Chelsea permanently.
Marc Cucurella, Andrey Santos, Tyrique George and Jimmy-Jay Morgan have all been sold by Chelsea this summer. The Blues have raked in a total of around £120m, which has helped pay for Morgan Rogers.

Many more sales are expected in the coming weeks. Garnacho looks set for Aston Villa in a loan deal with an obligation, meaning Aston Villa will have to pay a fixed fee next summer. It is believed to be £43m.
Filip Jorgensen, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Liam Delap, David Fofana and plenty of other players are set to be sold. Disasi is another, returning to Chelsea this summer after a solid loan at West Ham.

Bought by Chelsea for £38.5m in 2023, Disasi’s Chelsea spell has been a nightmare. After a good first season, he was ousted by Enzo Maresca and loaned to Aston Villa for the second half of 2024-25.
Part of the bomb squad last summer, Disasi joined West Ham in January and starred in their fight against relegation. But the Hammers have now been relegated, and Disasi has no desire to play in the second tier.
Unlike Jarrod Bowen, The Sun claims Disasi has turned down a return to West Ham. However, they are not the only side showing interest in Disasi, with AC Milan keen on re-strengthening their bond with Chelsea.
Chelsea are said to rate Disasi at a whopping £25m, despite his disastrous Chelsea stint. According to Foot Mercato, Roma are also looking at a deal for Disasi, having held talks for Garnacho themselves.
Why £25m fee would see Chelsea make a book profit on Disasi
It is now three years since Chelsea bought Disasi from Monaco. Halfway into his six-year contract, Disasi is staring at an exit once again. This time, it feels like a permanent departure would be Chelsea’s preference.

BlueCo have used player amortisation rules to their advantage since taking over in 2022, and Disasi is no different. FIFA allows amortisation to stretch out across five years, even if a contract is longer than five.
That means Disasi’s £38.5m transfer fee is worth £7.7m until the summer of 2028. If the Blues were to sell him this summer, they would have to cash in on Disasi for at least £23.1m to make a profit on him.
It probably explains the £25m price tag. Should Roma or Milan decide to spend what would be deemed an expensive fee for a player bombed out by his parent club, Chelsea and BlueCo would turn a profit.
