Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is being linked to both Chelsea and Juventus.

Speculation about a move to Chelsea will surprise many, with the Blues not short of attacking options.

Chelsea recently signed Joao Felix and Pedro Neto and already had the likes of Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke before the two Portuguese players arrived at Stamford Bridge.

Nevertheless, the club still appear to be interested in signing Sancho. However, Sancho will have to reduce his salary to join Chelsea if that is where he wants to go this summer.

Chelsea and Juventus both interested in Jadon Sancho

Chelsea may be keen on Sancho, but it looks like they could miss out on the 24-year-old to Juventus.

According to The Athletic, Thiago Motta’s Juventus are regarded as a more likely destination than Chelsea for Sancho.

He does seem to have fans at the Blues, though, with journalist Simon Phillips claiming that Chelsea co-director of recruitment and talent Joe Shields is an admirer of Sancho.

An exit before Friday’s deadline could be what is best for Sancho. The England international was not used in either of United’s first two games of the Premier League season so far.

Where would Jadon Sancho play at Chelsea?

If Chelsea do manage to beat Juventus to Sancho’s signature, the United man would give Enzo Maresca another wide option.

Currently, the Chelsea manager has Neto, Felix, Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk for the left wing, but that is one place where Sancho could play.

The former Borussia Dortmund star can also operate on the right, so that is another area where he could be utilised.

However, with Maresca in possession of Palmer and Madueke, who recently scored a hat-trick, the Blues are not light there either. Ultimately, then, Sancho would probably be coming in as a squad player.

If Sancho wants more than that, then a move to Juventus may be better for him this summer.
