Thomas Tuchel is now considering a move to bring Chelsea target Giorgi Mamardashvili to Bayern Munich this summer.
That is according to Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany.
So, what are the details surrounding Chelsea and Giorgi Mamardashvili? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it was the Evening Standard who claimed that Chelsea are looking at the Georgia international after deciding against a move for Inter Milan No.24 Andre Onana this summer.
A story from 90min in April stated that Chelsea held talks with Mamardashvili’s representatives, and Valencia are looking to receive £30m.
Now – however – Tuchel could beat Chelsea to the Valencia No.25’s signature.

Plettenburg believes Mamardashvili is viewed internally at the Allianz Arena as someone who could replace Manuel Neuer in the long-term.
Bayern Munich are also monitoring the 22-year-old as Alexander Nubel and Yann Sommer consider exits.
Chelsea could miss out on a gem in Mamardashvili
After Edouard Mendy departed for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, Mauricio Pochettino is left with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his only senior goalkeeping option, so it makes sense that the Blues are looking for a new glovesman.
In Mamardashvili, Chelsea appear to have shortlisted a real goalkeeping gem, so it would be a shame for those at Stamford Bridge if Tuchel beat them to his signature.
Miguel Ángel Moyá – who used to play for Valencia – told MARCA that Mamardashvili is “one of the best” goalkeepers in Spain, and even likened him to Thibaut Courtois.

The Spaniard said: “It seems to me that, right now, he is one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga, without a doubt.
“He reminds me a lot of Courtois, with a big wingspan, very tall but agile. He has determination, takes risks, dominates and he can block.”
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Tuchel fights Chelsea for Mamardashvili.
