The loan market has been a big friend to Chelsea over the years, so will we see any more Blues players leave the club on a temporary basis this month?
The Chelsea squad looks extremely healthy right now with plenty of talented individuals for Enzo Maresca to choose from. Therefore, it may be a smart idea to get some individuals out on loan to help their development.
Blues defender Josh Acheampong won’t be leaving on loan after his recent breakthrough into the first-team squad.
Interestingly, there’s a rising talent from the Chelsea academy now linked with a potential loan move.

Coventry interested in Samuel Rak-Sakyi
English Championship club Coventry City, who are managed by Frank Lampard, are interested in signing Chelsea youngster Samuel Rak-Sakyi.
According to Sky Sports, Coventry have expressed interest in taking the 19-year-old Blues midfielder on loan.
The report says that the teenager is due to be involved in Chelsea’s FA Cup third round tie at home to Morecambe on Saturday afternoon, so any potential move will be put on hold until afterwards.
Rak-Sakyi, who’s been on Chelsea’s books since the age of eight, has come all the way up the youth system. He’s even made four first-team appearances, which all came in this season’s Conference League group phase.
Chelsea’s Rak-Sakyi completed 87/88 of his passes against Astana in last month’s European fixture as he gave a glimpse into his potential and quality in the senior team.
If the central midfielder does join Lampard at Coventry, it’ll be his first ever loan spell.
Should Samuel Rak-Sakyi leave Chelsea on loan?
Rak-Sakyi joining Coventry in this window feels like a no-brainer for everyone involved.
At the age of 19, the deep-lying midfielder is ready to start playing men’s football and developing his game even further. There’s no doubt that he’s got all the technical skills with his quality on and off the ball, but now is the time to improve the physical side of his game.
Tosin Adarabioyo described Rak-Sakyi as “very confident” after playing alongside the Blues youngster in Europe, as quoted by Chelsea’s official website.
Everyone will remember what Lampard did for Mason Mount when he coached him as a youngster at Derby County, so seeing one or two current Chelsea prospects join him at Coventry could be quite exciting.
