Chelsea are hoping to do some business with their Premier League rivals Aston Villa when the transfer window opens.
It is being reported that Chelsea are interested in signing Rogers from Villa as he continues to impress at Villa Park.
This season, the attacking midfielder has scored 14 goals in all competitions, with four of them coming in the Champions League.
At this moment in time, then, Rogers is undoubtedly one of Villa’s most important players.

Aston Villa have no plans to sell Morgan Rogers
Rogers is a fan of Enzo Maresca after working with the Chelsea manager at Manchester City. It means the 22-year-old could be open to a move to west London this summer.
Villa, however, seem very reluctant to part ways with Rogers, whom they signed from Middlesbrough in 2024.
According to talkSPORT, the current stance of Villa’s hierarchy is Rogers is not for sale, with the club planning to keep hold of their English youngster.
It is a blow for Chelsea, who are looking to improve their attack when the transfer window opens. While Rogers may not be on the market, another Englishman on Chelsea’s radar is available.
Following Ipswich Town’s relegation to the Championship, Liam Delap’s £30m release clause has become active.
Chelsea face a real battle to sign Delap, though, once the transfer window opens. The England U21 international has scored 12 goals in 33 Premier League appearances this season.

What Gabriel Agbonlahor has said about Chelsea’s interest in Morgan Rogers
One person who will definitely not want to see Rogers join Chelsea this summer is former Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor. And he does not think he will, partly because of PSR.
Speaking about Chelsea’s interest in the England international on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: “What would Morgan Rogers cost now? £100m as a starter, then talk about add-ons. So I don’t think Chelsea, with their PSR problems as well, will be able to afford that.”
The Blues do have other attacking options on their list of transfer targets, such as Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.
It has been claimed that Chelsea are ready to double Gittens’ salary in their bid to land him. Of course, Gittens is more of a wide player compared to Rogers, though the Villa man can play on the flank.
