Mauricio Pochettino is already having to deal with dreaded injury problems after yet another international break comes close to an end.

Cole Palmer and Armando Broja are two players who were sent back to Stamford Bridge early in the break, with injury concerns putting a question mark over their availability for the Premier League return.

Before the players even travelled to join up with the countries, there was an issue with a player who has started every game for the club this season.

Axel Disasi pulled out of international duty with the France senior team after it emerged he had suffered an injury in the prior game against Burnley.

He remained at Chelsea for the break, although reports have claimed he is unlikely to be fit in time to face the Gunners at the weekend.

This will leave Pochettino left wondering what he is going to do when it comes to the middle of his defence against the title contenders.

One option is to move Levi Colwill from the left of defence into the middle, where he is traditionally more comfortable due to his experience there.

If this occurs, left back will be vacant. This role should then be filled by Ian Maatsen for his first Premier League game for the club.

His opportunities have mostly been from the bench this season, and this has been unfair based on how impressive he looked in pre-season.

The Dutchman has been with his country this week, but should certainly be the one called upon to play on the left on Saturday when Arsenal make the trip across the capital to Stamford Bridge.
