Reports have claimed that Chelsea are about to open talks with Mauricio Pochettino about becoming their new manager.
According to the Mail Online, the 51-year-old will be the third candidate they have spoken to regarding the vacant role in West London.
In another world, Pochettino will have already become the manager of Chelsea earlier this season. He was strongly considered for the job when Thomas Tuchel was sacked last year.

However, he lost out to Graham Potter, an experiment which didn’t pay off for the Blues.
The former Brighton man was sacked at the weekend after a dire few months domestically. Defeat to Aston Villa was the final straw as far as Todd Boehly was concerned.
Stories have broken since he was let go about Potter being undermined by his players, with his eager to please attitude coming across as if he has no authority.
Pochettino about to be contacted
Even in his final game at Stamford Bridge, it has now been reported that he and the rest of his backroom staff had concluded that the players were not carrying out his instructions from the week prior.
It is hard to imagine this situation would have been the same if they had elected to give Pochettino the job, with his experience at the top something players will respect.
Now, the former Spurs boss is back in the frame to potentially get the job, with him expected to be contacted in the coming days.

He is again facing stiff competition for the role again though. Both Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have reportedly already been contacted too.
The timing of the German’s sacking from Bayern Munich makes him an obvious favourite, with his profile not too dissimilar to Potter’s.
However, it is widely believed that he would prefer to wait until the end of the season to take a job, leaving the door open for other candidates.
