There’s plenty of reunions at the weekend for Chelsea’s trip to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The Blues’ first game back after the international break is Saturday afternoon’s visit to Leicester in the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca, the Chelsea manager, is returning to the club he led to promotion from the Championship last season as title winners. There’s a couple of former Foxes players in the Chelsea squad, too.
Wesley Fofana was named in the Blues starting line-up against his former club. Meanwhile, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is on the bench.
Dewsbury-Hall claims he wouldn’t celebrate if he scored versus Leicester, the club where he’s spent nearly his entire career, but will he get on the pitch for Chelsea in today’s match?

How Leicester fans reacted to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall return
During the first-half when Chelsea’s Dewsbury-Hall went to warm up, he received a fantastic reception from the Leicester supporters inside the King Power Stadium.
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella reported via X that the 25-year-old midfielder received a standing ovation from the home fanbase. Elsewhere, Blues defender Fofana didn’t receive a warm return to the East Midlands.
Based off the opening few months of this season, Dewsbury-Hall is turning out to be one of Chelsea’s poorest signings. Hopefully, the left-footed central midfielder can turn things around and start to show his quality.
The Englishman’s made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, most of them coming in cup competitions. In fact, he’s started zero of his three league matches before this weekend.
Maresca insists he’s happy with Dewsbury-Hall and is asking for some patience with him.
Don’t give up on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall yet
It’s been a pretty flat start for Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea, especially considering he had the advantage of working under Maresca at Leicester last season.
The box-to-box central midfielder needs to step his game up and really impress whenever he gets the chance on the pitch.
Joe Cole still thinks Dewsbury-Hall can surprise Chelsea fans with his quality over time. However, he’s got to get a move on because the Blues supporters completely write him off.
