Chelsea face Leicester City on Saturday afternoon as domestic football returns after the international break, but they’re without Pedro Neto in the matchday squad.
The Blues have travelled to the King Power Stadium for today’s Premier League fixture away at Leicester.
Unfortunately, Pedro Neto has been omitted from the Chelsea squad that faces the Foxes this weekend. It turns out that the 24-year-old winger has picked up an injury knock while playing for Portugal during the international period.
Chelsea fans were desperate to see Neto playing on the right this weekend because his form recently has been impressive. It’ll be up to his teammates to try get the three points in the East Midlands today, though.

Enzo Maresca confirms Pedro Neto injury blow
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who takes on his former club on Saturday, has provided an update on why Neto is completely absent versus Leicester.
The talented attacker is unavailable against the Foxes because of an injury knock. Meanwhile, Malo Gusto is also missing through illness.
“Malo unfortunately was feeling unwell during the night and misses out today,” Maresca said via Chelsea’s official app.
“Pedro suffered a kick during the international break that he hasn’t been able to shake off. He’s getting better but we can’t take a risk with him today.”
Speaking earlier in November, Neto claimed he’s starting to feel himself at Chelsea after arriving in the summer from Wolverhampton Wanderers. That’s definitely been showing with his performances and breakthrough into the team’s best XI.
Therefore, it’s so frustrating that the rapid wide man is missing against Leicester.
Chelsea starting line-up vs Leicester
Despite a few high-profile names missing from the Chelsea group at Leicester, it’s still an incredibly strong side in action this afternoon.
Benoit Badiashile, Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix are the eye-catching names in Chelsea’s XI. The aforementioned trio haven’t had too many opportunities recently to impress in the Premier League, so Saturday is a great opportunity with a start to show their quality.
Elsewhere, it’s a relief to see Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill starting after both withdrew from international duty with England.
