Enzo Maresca gave a couple of Chelsea players a chance in the Blues’ 6-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
One of those players was Noni Madueke, who undoubtedly took the opportunity that was given to him by the Chelsea manager.
Madueke has been linked with an exit this summer and is having to compete against so many other talented attackers. However, Enzo Maresca decided to give him a chance at Molineux, and he did not let his boss down after scoring a hat-trick.
It was also a great opportunity for Mykhailo Mudryk, who is up against the likes of Pedro Neto and Christopher Nkunku for the spot on the left-hand side.
However, he failed to take it, whereas Neto, like Madueke, managed to take his when he was brought on.

Pedro Neto should replace Mykhailo Mudryk in Crystal Palace clash
Chelsea’s next Premier League encounter is against Crystal Palace on Sunday, and there is no doubt that Neto should be starting on the left if it is a toss up between him and Mudryk.
The execution of his pass to Joao Felix for Chelsea’s sixth goal versus Wolves is the kind of thing that Mudryk often gets wrong.
After the game, Maresca stated that Mudryk needs to show more quality on the ball. In Neto’s position, it honestly is really hard to imagine the Ukrainian making the same successful pull back.
Mudryk only managed to register two assists in the Premier League last season, so his final ball is something that he really needs to work on.
What should Chelsea do with Mykhailo Mudryk following Pedro Neto’s arrival?
Mudryk probably needs to spend some time away from Stamford Bridge, perhaps on loan at another Premier League club.
He is not developing in the way you would expect an £89m player to as he continues to bounce in and out of the team, and that is unlikely to change now that the likes of Neto and Felix are both at Chelsea.
It looks like Chelsea are still tipping Mudryk to come good. But in order for that to happen, he may need to spend a season or two developing elsewhere.
