Chelsea youngster Tyrique George got an opportunity against Morecambe in the FA Cup, and he did not let Enzo Maresca down.

The winger was unable to get his name on the scoresheet, with Tosin Adarabioyo, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku grabbing Chelsea’s goals — the first two netted braces each.
But George still had a fantastic game, and the stats back it up. With 2025 now here, George is a player people need to keep their eyes on this year.

You would expect Jadon Sancho to come back into the side when Chelsea take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Tuesday. But after his latest performance, George looks like he could be a decent option from off the bench.
George has caught the attention of Sancho, who claimed that his teammate “has the world at his feet” earlier this season.

Tyrique George can ease Mykhailo Mudryk dilemma
Chelsea are still without Mykhailo Mudryk, and it remains to be seen when he will be available for selection again.
It is a shame, as the Ukrainian was really starting to put in some good performances for Chelsea in the Conference League. He has scored in each of his last three outings in the competition.
What George has shown against Morecambe, though, is that he can bring something to that left flank while Mudryk remains unavailable.
Of course, Chelsea will not be playing League Two opposition every week. But George’s display is promising regardless.
