It is fair to say that Crystal Palace supporters are not the biggest fans of Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.
Marc Cucurella, of course, used to play for Palace’s rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, while the left-back also had a role in Spain’s 2-1 win against England in the Euro 2024 final.
Unsurprisingly, then, he was a target for Palace fans in Chelsea‘s clash versus the Eagles earlier.
Cucurella was recently praised by Renato Veiga, who is competing with the 26-year-old for the left-back spot at Chelsea.

Marc Cucurella targeted by Crystal Palace fans
Again, Cucurella is not the most popular person in south London, and Palace supporters let him know that at Stamford Bridge earlier.
As per BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Palace fans booed Cucurella and mocked his hair during their side’s game against Chelsea.
Last weekend, it was Noni Madueke who was the subject of boos after he angered Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters with an Instagram post about their city.
Next up for Madueke, Cucurella and Chelsea is a trip to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth after the international break.
Marc Cucurella set to be a key player for Chelsea this season
Cucurella has started all three of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far this season, and you would expect the Spaniard to remain Enzo Maresca‘s first-choice left-back.
He can play as an inverted full-back, while Ben Chilwell is no longer part of the senior squad.
Chelsea were willing to sell Chilwell for £25m during the summer transfer window, but in the end the club could not offload the 27-year-old.
It is a long season and injuries are obviously possible, but Maresca has already claimed that Chilwell will not get minutes under him this season, so things are not looking good for the England international.
As for Cucurella, he is looking indispensable to this Chelsea team right now. Palace fans may not like him, but Chelsea supporters probably adore the former Brighton man at present.
