Chelsea defender Levi Colwill helped his side to beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Enzo Maresca has relied on Levi Colwill heavily this season, and it was no different in the Blues’ clash against Leicester.

It was the centre-back’s 12th start in the Premier League this term, meaning that he has started all of Chelsea‘s games.

Colwill is the Premier League’s most improved player, according to former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood.

Levi Colwill shows appreciation to Chelsea supporters

Colwill went down injured at the end of Chelsea’s win at the King Power Stadium.

Maresca also confirmed after the full-time whistle that the 21-year-old has not been feeling well. However, that and the above did not stop him from thanking Chelsea supporters after the game.

BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella shared on X that Colwill still went over to the away fans after the match had concluded.

Chelsea got the win against Leicester thanks to goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez. Star player Cole Palmer had a quiet game by his standards but is having a terrific season overall. Palmer was recently praised by Colwill for being such a calm individual.

Despite it being a close scoreline, Chelsea dominated Leicester. Steve Cooper’s men showed a bit of fight towards the end of the game, but the visitors were on top for most of the match.

As a result, Colwill did not have to do too much defending during the Premier League fixture, and that was reflected in his stats.

For example, the Englishman finished the game without making a single interception or tackle.

You suspect, though, that he will have much more work to do in Chelsea’s next Premier League game. The Blues take on Villa at Stamford Bridge, meaning that Colwill will have to go up against Ollie Watkins and possibly Jhon Duran.
