Reports have claimed that one Chelsea player will actually reject a move away from the club this month.

According to the Evening Standard, the midfielder is by no means looking to move on from the club under any circumstances during this transfer window.

It has been widely claimed that some at the club are still willing to accept the right bid for Gallagher if it comes in.

With the transfer window open again now, these reports have begun to gain traction again.

Even up to deadline day of the summer transfer window, the club were still reportedly keen to accept a strong bid if it came in.

Tottenham were linked with his signing then, and those reports have not gone away despite his clear importance on the side.

Gallagher to reject move away from Chelsea

It is no secret that Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the 23-year-old, having started him at every opportunity he has had so far.

Fabrizio Romano has come out and stated that the Argentine is continuing to lobby for the Englishman staying with his squad.

Now, it has been claimed that the player himself would not accept a move away from the club even if a deal is agreed between Chelsea and another club.

It was a similar story 12 months ago when Everton were the reported interested party, with him again making it clear he did not wish to move on.

With him being such a crucial cog in the Chelsea machine this season, it would be advisable to not sell him this month.

If they are still desperate to part ways with the player, they should wait until this summer before making any decisions when they can adjust their setup to not rely on Gallagher as heavily as they have been so far.
