Chelsea supporters have turned their attention back to Todd Boehly and the rest of the club’s board.
Earlier in the season, Chelsea fans seemed to be quite happy with the direction that the club were heading in.
It was understandable, as Enzo Maresca‘s side were second in the Premier League table at one point and signings made by the current ownership, the likes of Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho, were performing.
However, fast forward to now and Chelsea supporters are not happy. Sancho came in for criticism after the Blues’ 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday, but he was not the only person. That defeat has now seen Chelsea drop out of the Champions League places.

Chelsea fans desperate to see Todd Boehly take control over the club
Out of all of the board members at Chelsea, Boehly seems to be the least hated.
Evidently fed up of Behdad Eghbali and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea supporters have sent a plea to Boehly, begging him to gain control over the club.
One Chelsea fan is convinced that Boehly has way more ambition compared to Clearlake, posting on X: “It’s time to get your control back, Todd. I am sure that you have way more drive and ambition for Chelsea than Clearlake Capital.”
Another Chelsea supporter wrote: “Get those men out and leave Boehly as the sole owner to run business for us.”
One Chelsea fan simply said: “It’s time, Todd.” Clearly, Blues supporters have now lost their patience with the Clearlake side of the ownership.
Another user said: “Chelsea fans backed your vision, Todd, but right now, it feels like the club has lost its identity. Winning mentality, leadership, and experience can’t just be replaced with potential. It’s time to take charge again and bring back the standards that made Chelsea great.”
It remains to be seen whether these Chelsea fans will get their wish granted, but something has to change. Maresca is going to continue to work with this team and hope that it can improve, but that is not enough. Better directors and players have to come in at this point.

Todd Boehly yet to deliver on promise
Following the completion of Chelsea’s takeover in 2022, Boehly promised that the club’s history of success would be built on.
In a statement released by Chelsea’s official website, the American said: “Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success.”
Since then, Chelsea have sacked Thomas Tuchel and torn apart a Champions League-winning squad. That is hardly building on a team’s success.
Chelsea supporters may want to see Boehly take charge of things, but this whole mess is down to him, as well as Clearlake. You cannot absolve him from blame.
