Liverpool fans are going to find themselves with more ammunition in debates with Chelsea supporters over who the better player is out of Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard.
Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard are often compared to each other, with both men being two of the best forwards the Premier League has ever seen.
The Liverpool star is having an incredible season, scoring and assisting in his side’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Wednesday. By doing the latter, he has now matched one of Hazard’s impressive feats from the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
Right now, Cole Palmer is the closest thing Chelsea have to the legendary Belgian, though his form has declined lately. Former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot recently discussed Palmer’s decrease in productivity, putting it down to how he is now being marked during games.

Mohamed Salah replicates Eden Hazard goals and assists feat
The 2018/19 Premier League season was Hazard’s best and final one. During that campaign, the ex-winger scored 16 goals and registered 15 assists, giving him a total of 31 goal contributions in 37 games.
No player has scored 15+ goals and registered 15+ assists in the English top flight since, that was until Salah set up Trent Alexander-Arnold at Villa Park on Wednesday night.
That assist took him to 15 for the season, while his goal in the very same game was his 24th. The above means Hazard’s feat has finally been matched after almost six years.
Palmer was not too far away from it last term, after scoring 22 goals and registering 11 assists. He is unlikely to join Salah and Hazard’s club this season, though, especially if the England international continues to play like how he did against Brighton & Hove Albion.
When Manchester United legend Gary Neville spoke about Palmer and Christopher Nkunku after that game, he said: “I thought they were useless as a pair tonight being honest with you.”

Eden Hazard’s 2018/19 Premier League season
Hazard’s 2018/19 Premier League campaign is one of the best individual seasons you will ever see from a footballer playing in England.
The 34-year-old was both Chelsea’s primary goalscorer and chief playmaker. Without him, that campaign could have been a very ugly one for the Blues.
Hazard did not exchange his skill and flair for efficiency and productivity either. He was still an entertainer on the left wing with his incredible dribbling.
According to WhoScored, the Chelsea legend completed an amazing 3.7 dribbles per game, which was the highest average in the Premier League.
The Blues need a new striker and are being linked with several. For example, Chelsea could do battle with Manchester United over Liam Delap. But Enzo Maresca could also really do with a player like Hazard, an attacker who could break through the lowest of low blocks.
