Last night’s Conference League tie at Stamford Bridge saw Chelsea announce their latest new signing to the fans.

Joao Felix was introduced to the crowd, with the Blues eventually getting the business done on the pitch too as they came through 2-0 victors.

Chelsea sources have claimed that signing Felix was a must this summer due to the sale of and potential sale of other attackers currently at Stamford Bridge.

One of these players is Raheem Sterling, who has asked to leave the club this summer after seeing himself firmly out of Enzo Maresca’s plans.

Paul Merson believes Felix is part of Chelsea’s best attack right now, although it remains to be seen how he settles in to life back in West London.

Enzo Fernandez welcomes Joao Felix to Chelsea

After the Portuguese star’s unveiling, teammate Enzo Fernandez took to Instagram to post a story welcoming him back.

He said: “Welcome friend, let’s go!”

The Argentine came through with a far stronger performance off the bench last night than he had to start the season against Manchester City.

Noni Madueke scores again

His glorious pass was finished off by Noni Madueke, who himself impressed Maresca with his performance.

There have been plenty of reports that the England U21 star could be on the move this summer still, however Maresca stated he would love to keep Madueke.

There are plenty of options for players who can play in attack right now, however one of those figures is seemingly begin to frustrate the new manager.

Maresca was frustrated with Mykhailo Mudryk during his first appearance of the season last night, with it seeming to approach crunch time for the Ukrainian to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

His minutes are way mire likely at this stage to go to someone like Pedro Neto, who is looking to become a regular after joining the club this summer.
