Chelsea take on Gent on Thursday night in their first UEFA Conference League match since winning the play-off versus Servette.

The Blues have made a superb start to the Premier League season with four wins and a draw from six games and are just two points behind leaders Liverpool.

They will now turn their attention to European football, which they went without in the previous campaign.

Enzo Maresca’s side are expected to win the Conference League and a victory over Gent in the league phase would be a step towards achieving that.

The Chelsea Chronicle tells you everything you need to know about the upcoming match, such as the kick-off time, live stream and team news.

How To Watch Chelsea vs Gent

All the Blues’ Conference League matches in the 2024/25 season will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.

Chelsea vs Gent Team News

Maresca appears to have settled on a preferred starting eleven but there will be drastic changes for Gent and every other Conference League game until the knockout rounds.

Cole Palmer and Wesley Fofana were not registered in the Blues’ squad for the league phase of the competition so other players will get a chance to impress.

Filip Jorgensen will almost certainly start in goal, while defenders Renato Veiga, Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo will likely be given opportunities.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could start alongside either Enzo Fernandez or Moises Caicedo in midfield, with Romeo Lavia also not registered for the squad.

The front four of Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk worked well in the recent 5-0 win over Barrow so Maresca could stick with them on Thursday.
