Enzo Fernandez has revealed he would love to see Paulo Dybala join him at Chelsea as speculation about the Roma No.21 intensifies.

A story from Mundo Deportivo claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has added the 29-year-old to his shortlist of transfer targets, after losing Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

So, what did Enzo Fernandez say about Paulo Dybala? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the South American duo won the World Cup together in December, and seemingly have a very close relationship.

Fernandez told Diario Ole: “I read something about (Paulo Dybala coming to Chelsea). We will see. I really hope it can happen. I talked to him and told him I’m waiting for him to share a barbecue or something.”

The 22-year-old is not the only Chelsea player hoping to see the Roma forward move to Stamford Bridge.

Thiago Silva also spoke about Dybala in a quick interview at the F1 British Grand Prix on Sunday, where he claimed that he would love to be his teammate in west London.

The Brazilian told Sky Sports: “I saw Paulo here (at the British Grand Prix) and they talk about him at Chelsea. I hope he arrives. I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world class player.”

Forget Fernandez and Silva – Dybala has another fan at Chelsea

As Fernandez and Silva put pressure on Chelsea to sign Dybala, the Argentina international has another known admirer at Stamford Bridge in Pochettino.

The 51-year-old has previously described his fellow countryman as a “special talent” when speaking about him before Tottenham clashed with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League, back in 2018.

Pochettino was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: “I think Dybala will recover and I hope he does, because I think it’s always nice to play against the best in the world.

“I put Dybala in that category, because he is a special talent and seeing him on the pitch is wonderful, even if he might cause your team a few problems.”

Clearly, Dybala has many admirers at Stamford Bridge, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see this deal happen.
