Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah are two of the best players in the Premier League.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool have started this season well and have Cole Palmer and Mohamed Salah to thank.
Palmer has come up with 10 goal contributions in six games to help Chelsea climb to fourth place, while Salah has produced eight for league leaders Liverpool.

The former is the man of the moment right now, scoring four times against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has been mesmerised by Palmer’s passing and has been discussing whether he would swap Salah for the attacking midfielder.

Would Steve Nicol swap Mohamed Salah for Cole Palmer?
Palmer is having a better season than Salah and produced superior numbers compared to the winger in the last campaign.
In the Premier League, Palmer scored 22 goals and produced 11 assists, while Salah came up with 18 and 10 respectively.
However, the latter has been performing at this level much longer than Chelsea’s star man. Even so, Nicol says he would still swap him for Palmer if he could.
When asked whom he would rather have at Liverpool out of Salah and Palmer, Nicol said on ESPN: “I’m always talking about you’ve got to look to the future of the club and if Chelsea would like to do a swap deal, I think I’d probably do it!”
Another pundit, Chris Sutton, prefers Palmer over Erling Haaland. It shows just how good the 22-year-old has been since the start of last season.
Chelsea would not swap Cole Palmer for any player in the world
Right now, there is probably not a single player in world football that Chelsea would swap Palmer for.
The England international is putting up incredible numbers and winning games single-handedly for Enzo Maresca‘s team.
Palmer is only 22 as well, meaning that he is very likely to get much better in the future. The former Manchester City player signed a contract extension until 2033 in August, and Chelsea’s decision to hand him that new deal now looks like a very smart one.
They have one of the best footballers in the world tied down to an extremely long contract. He will not be leaving Stamford Bridge any time soon.
