Romelu Lukaku’s time at Chelsea ended on a bit of a sour note, and it’s clear there is still some animosity as he’s now spoken out on his time at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have found a striker who does exactly what is asked of Enzo Maresca in Nicolas Jackson, and his record isn’t bad either, with four goals and three assists in the Premier League this season.
The African striker was actually slammed at times last season for his lack of composure in front of goal, but Maresca seems to have ignited a fire inside of him that’s turned him into the opposite.
Cole Palmer’s link-up with Jackson has helped massively, with the Englishman even tying records with Chelsea great Eden Hazard despite only joining last year.
Things are finally moving in the right direction under Todd Boehly after a rather turbulent start to life under the owners.
However, Romelu Lukaku wasn’t pleased with his time at Chelsea, and he’s been speaking out about a demand the club made to him.

Romelu Lukaku not happy with demand Chelsea made to him
Romelu Lukaku left Chelsea permanently in the summer transfer window to join Napoli. The Belgian played 59 times for Chelsea, scoring 15 goals in the process in what was a very stop-start period.
Chelsea were that desperate to get rid of Lukaku that they even lowered their valuation towards the end of the transfer window to help the Italian club push through a deal.
He’s now been speaking out about his time at the club, and one thing they told him about Didier Drogba certainly appeared to tick him off.
Speaking to Friends of Sports on YouTube, he stated this.
“In England, they wanted to put me in a box. They see someone built like me and think he’s the new Drogba, and because Didier did what he did they think I have to do the same.
“I’m not like that. Didier was more back to goal, he could hold up the ball no matter where you play it in from. That wasn’t my style, Bro.”
Didier Drogba was in a league of his own at Chelsea
Didier Drogba was so successful at Chelsea that there are always going to be searches for the next of his kind, which can add plenty of pressure on the shoulders of players coming in.
He’s currently Chelsea’s fourth-highest goal-scorer of all time, with ten club trophies and 26 personal accolades, which is some return.
He made 381 appearances for the Blues and scored a whopping 164 goals, as well as laying on 88 assists.
Jadon Sancho even admitted he idolised Drogba growing up.
