Chelsea have several exciting players on their books impressing this season, and one of them has just earned big praise from Sam Allardyce.
There’s a lot of talent when you look across the Chelsea squad, particularly in the front area of the pitch.
In 11 Premier League games this season, the Blues have scored 21 goals in return. It actually makes them the joint fourth-highest scorers in the division.
Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer have combined for 62% of Chelsea’s league goals so far this season, so will some others start to chip in more? Incidentally, Micah Richards admires the combination between Jackson and Palmer in attack this season.

Sam Allardyce is a big fan of Chelsea winger Pedro Neto
English manager Sam Allardyce, who’s currently out of work, has just delivered a glowing verdict on Chelsea’s Pedro Neto.
Allardyce said on the Seaman Says YouTube channel: “Neto is very good. I’ve experienced him when I’ve been on the touchline. He is quick and tricky… It was a very good finish (his goal against Arsenal) I must admit.”
Behdad Eghbali was key to Chelsea signing Neto from Wolves in the summer. Despite a slow start to the season, the 24-year-old attacker is now beginning to show his true worth.
The Portuguese winger, who can operate on either flank, has forced his way into the Blues’ best XI recently with some eye-catching form.
Michael Bridges claims Chelsea have signed a “superstar” in Neto, who’s someone with so much potential and quality.
Is Pedro Neto an automatic starter for Chelsea?
Based off recent weeks, Neto should definitely be in Chelsea’s best starting line-up.
The versatile wide man has competition from teammates Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho to start. However, you could argue he holds the edge over them when it comes productivity and overall ability.
| Player | Appearances | Starts | Goals | Assists |
| Pedro Neto | 15 | 9 | 3 | 3 |
| Mykhailo Mudryk | 14 | 8 | 2 | 5 |
| Noni Madueke | 13 | 11 | 5 | 0 |
| Jadon Sancho | 5 | 4 | 0 | 3 |
Gary Neville would like to see Chelsea star Neto be a little more confident on the ball. In fairness, it’s obvious from recent weeks that he’s beginning to grow in confidence and stature during his first year with the Blues.
