It’s already been a busy summer window at Chelsea for new arrivals, with some significant upgrades made to Enzo Maresca’s squad. Scott Minto has suggested another signing they could make to elevate them further, though.
The Blues have signed plenty of exciting individuals for the first team, including the likes of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens.
Chelsea are even more attractive to transfer targets after winning this summer’s Club World Cup tournament. Now, it will be intriguing to see if the young squad of players can kick on and achieve more success in the new 2025/26 season.

Scott Minto thinks Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho could be great signing
In terms of more incomings at Stamford Bridge, there are still several names mentioned in the transfer rumour mill. For example, Chelsea remain in advanced talks for Xavi Simons, the 22-year-old RB Leipzig attacking midfielder.
Scott Minto, the talkSPORT pundit and former Blues defender, reckons Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, 21, may be an excellent option for Chelsea this summer.
When discussing Garnacho, Minto told talkSPORT: “Look, he’s talented. You can’t say he’s not… If he does go to Chelsea, then there’s a great opportunity for him. I think that left wing slot is very much open. It might just be what he [needs]. I talked about the wide players and perhaps the depth of quality that Chelsea don’t have, he might be perfect for them.”
If Simons joins the Blues, he would be natural competition for Jamie Gittens on the left wing. Meanwhile, Chelsea winger Tyrique George wants to leave during this summer window.
As for Garnacho, he’s a quick and skilful left-winger who would add even more attacking firepower to Maresca’s squad.

What’s the latest with Alejandro Garnacho?
With less than a month left of the summer transfer window, Garnacho is still currently at Old Trafford as a Man Utd player.
Last month, reports claimed that Garnacho is not in Ruben Amorim’s plans, and transfer suitors believe he could be signed for around £40m. The Argentine winger must be frustrated that his future is still up in the air with the new season fast approaching.

Chelsea have no concerns about Garnacho after carrying out extensive checks on him. Will the Blues now ramp up interest before the window closes?
Apparently, Chelsea will hold more talks with Garnacho’s entourage this week to discuss a potential move to West London
