Chelsea’s transfer business has seemed to kick into another gear in recent days as they prepare for the return of Premier League football.

Their most recent addition, Pedro Neto, was spotted at Stamford Bridge last weekend as the Blues finalised their pre-season campaign against Inter Milan.

The Portuguese winger is likely raise the bar when it comes to wingers this summer, and the signing of Neto reportedly left the club doubts over signing Samu Omorodion.

His addition could be joined in the coming days with the signing of Joao Felix too, with the Blues looking at him in an attempt to sell Conor Gallagher.

With Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen and future star Estevao Willian also brought in for big money, it has been another big summer of spending at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s rivals questioning their spending

This has been the case ever since Todd Boehly took over as owner of the club, with it largely publicised that over a billion pounds has been spent since the American came in.

According to the Mail Online, some of their Premier League rivals have begun to question how they are able to continue their lavish spending ways.

Chelsea have twice broken their club record for a signing under Boehly, with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo joining in consecutive transfer windows.

Enzo Maresca preparing for first Premier League game

It is likely the duo begin the upcoming Premier League campaign together in midfield under Enzo Maresca, with a tricky test awaiting them at Stamford Bridge for the first game of the season.

The Blues will host Manchester City, with there being plenty of competition for places in the middle of the park even if Conor Gallagher is not part of the squad.

Romeo Lavia has enjoyed a strong pre-season tour of the United States, and is no doubt looking to make an impact on the first team picture after hardly being able to feature in his first season as a Chelsea player.
