RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Ajax’s Jorrel Hato could be Chelsea’s next two signings.

Simons could come in to replace Christopher Nkunku, who is being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Regarding Hato, Chelsea are in need of cover for Marc Cucurella, with the club set to sell Renato Veiga to Atletico Madrid.

While Simons and Hato are currently at different clubs, they have played alongside each other for the Netherlands national team.

Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato helped the Netherlands to beat Gibraltar 6-0

Simons and Hato have shared the pitch as teammates three times, with their first appearance together coming back in 2023.

They helped the Netherlands to beat Gibraltar 6-0 in a qualifier for Euro 2024. Neither player started on the night, but they were eventually brought on in the second half.

All in all, it was a successful night for Simons, Hato and the rest of the Netherlands national team.

Since then, the pair have made two more appearances in the same side, with their latest coming against Spain in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals.

The next time they link up together could be at Stamford Bridge. They could be two exciting additions to Enzo Maresca‘s squad, but not everyone will be happy if they arrive.

For example, it was said that Benoit Badiashile remains in Maresca’s plans, but the arrival of Hato could complicate things for the Frenchman. The 19-year-old can play on the left side of central defence.

Chelsea working on Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato deals

Hato has just become a “priority” for Chelsea, so a deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge could be agreed soon.

The Blues are also making good progress in their bid to land Simons, who allegedly prefers a move to Chelsea over their London rivals Arsenal.

All in all, it has been a busy summer at Chelsea after the arrivals of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and more, and it could be about to get even busier.
