Barcelona are reportedly getting ready to make a new offer for Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski, who’s been a target for Chelsea this summer.
According to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have both made approaches during this window for the 33-year-old striker.
It is understood that Barcelona “are preparing” to make an official bid for the Bayern centre-forward, though.
In addition, Barca president Joan Laporta already has a strong relationship with Lewandowski’s agent.
Barcelona offer for Lewandowski
It sounds like the Spanish giants are ready to ramp up interest in signing one of the world’s elite No.9s.
Lewandowski, who scored a ridiculous 50 goals in 46 Bayern appearances across all competitions last season, is simply one of the best strikers of his generation. He’s even been labelled a “world-class” player by Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
The Poland international has already admitted in recent comments his desire to leave Munich and to join Barcelona, so it feels like all roads lead to Camp Nou this summer if the financial side of things can be agreed by all parties.
He’s been a goal machine in German football during his career with Bayern, along with ex-club Borussia Dortmund. It’ll be interesting to see if that can transfer over to La Liga.

Thomas Tuchel’s Blues continue to be namedropped in the Lewandowski transfer saga, but it’s Barcelona that from the outside appear in pole position.
It’s been claimed this week Chelsea manager Tuchel would actually prefer to sign Manchester City’s 25-year-old attacker Gabriel Jesus over Lewandowski this summer.
With Romelu Lukaku’s loan move to Inter Milan rumoured, the Blues need to have a plan in place to sign a replacement striker.
