Bayern Munich identified Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku as a target earlier in the transfer window.
No progress has been made in Bayern Munich’s attempts to sign Christopher Nkunku, which is likely to be down to Chelsea‘s valuation of the player.
It has been claimed that Chelsea want as much as £75m for Nkunku despite the 27-year-old not being a regular starter under Enzo Maresca.
Even so, it does not look like Bayern have given up on signing Nkunku in this transfer window.

Bayern Munich still hoping for Christopher Nkunku’s arrival
The price tag that Chelsea have slapped on Nkunku is a huge one, one Bayern will be extremely reluctant to pay.
Nevertheless, according to L’Equipe, Max Eberl and the other the bosses at the German club are still hoping to sign the Frenchman, making it clear that they really want to see him at the Allianz Arena.
Nkunku will be desperate for the move after making just three starts in the Premier League this season.
While Bayern and Chelsea have not come to an agreement, it is thought that Nkunku’s personal terms have already been sorted ahead of a potential switch to Vincent Kompany’s side.

Chelsea do not think Christopher Nkunku is going anywhere
As well as Bayern, Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United are also said to be interested in Nkunku.
However, it looks like there is a good chance of the France international remaining at Stamford Bridge beyond next Monday’s transfer deadline.
It has been reported that Chelsea expect Nkunku to stay with them despite Bayern and United’s interest.
If that happens, Maresca needs to give the former RB Leipzig man a few consecutive starts in the top flight. Nicolas Jackson really looks like he needs a break after going on a seven-game goal drought.
The Senegal international was at least able to register an assist in last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City. But Maresca needs more from the man leading his line if Chelsea are to finish in the top four.
